Mission Statement

The Anglican Counselling Service is a Christian organisation which supports and strengthens individuals, families and communities in their relationships with each other through professional counselling, education and counselling training in regional and rural areas.

The Anglican Counselling Service is a 'not-for-profit' organisation.

The Federal Government, State Government and the Anglican Diocese of Armidale provide the Counselling Service with about half the money needed to keep the Service running.

The actual cost of operating the Counselling Service is $80 -110 per hour of counselling.  Appointments that are not kept are one of our greatest costs, as well as adding to the length of time others need to wait to use the Service.

A contribution of some amount is expected (in private practice the standard fee is between $75 and $150).  We accept that many of our clients cannot contribute this amount and that a contribution related to income may be more appropriate.

General donations are gratefully appreciated allowing us to respond to needs as they come to us in the New England/North-West of NSW.
