Construction begins on new premises for Anglican Counselling Service

Tuesday 5th of August 2008

A new era in the life of the Anglican Counselling Service is literally just around the corner, as construction of a new administration and counselling centre gets underway.

The Service’s administration centre currently operates out of premises in Bridge St. while the Counselling Centre operates from a cottage in the grounds of St. Pauls. The new building, in Denne Street, will allow for both operations to be brought under the one roof and result in a much more professional and efficient operation.

Construction of the new centre, which has been in the planning stage for a couple of years, began at the end of July and has been made possible with assistance from the Armidale Diocese.

Staff are hopeful they will be able to occupy their new home before the end of the year.
