Counselling Service seeking to fill senior position

The Executive Director of the Anglican Counselling Service (ACS) Mr Larry Apthorpe said today that the Service is keen to fill a senior position within the organisation as soon as possible.

The position is the Manager of Clinical Services and Mr Apthorpe said the primary responsibility of the role is the supervision of all Counsellors and staff.

The Anglican Counselling Service was established in Tamworth in 1986 and has been serving the New England – Nth West area of NSW ever since.   Today, the Service has centres in Tamworth, Armidale, Glen Innes, Inverell, Moree and Manilla.

ACS provides relationship counselling for individuals, and couples, together with counselling for those who have been adversely affected by drought. Financial Counselling and Problem Gambling Counselling are also provided along with a wide range of Community Education courses.

Mr Apthorpe said the successful applicant would need to possess appropriate Counselling and Supervisory skills with above average communication and administrative skills.  Anyone interested in finding out more about the position is invited to call Mr Apthorpe on (02) 6762 4380 during business hours.
